Lindsey Russell

Growing up, I was always told I looked athletic—but I struggled to stick with any of the sports I tried. In high school, I took a cross-training class that showed me I didn’t need to join team sports to be healthy and active. That class taught me how to exercise on my own—whether in a gym or at home—and it truly changed my life. From that point on, my social media was flooded with content about how to work out and chase all the “xyz” fitness goals.

In 2021, I invested in my first health and fitness coach, thinking, “I would love to help other people find the confidence I’ve found through movement and exercise.” Over the next three years, I learned deeply about nutrition, exercise, and how to build skeletal muscle while maintaining a healthy body fat percentage. During that time, I also committed to earning my certification in Online Health and Fitness Coaching through DLD (NASM affiliated). I knew I had to share this information with others.

After earning my certification, I started my own Women’s Movement and Nutrition Coaching business. I began under the name Muscle with Russell, focusing on traditional bodybuilding and helping women get strong and toned. While building my business, I was also managing a retail store, nurturing a relationship, and training over 10 hours per week. During this time, I began experiencing my own health challenges.

What turned out to be a blessing in disguise led me to shift my approach to exercise. Recognizing the need to reduce stress in my life, I started a new movement journey and dove into a new area of education: mobility. Although the transition was challenging, I eventually healed my body and learned how to blend mobility work with strength training. This shift not only improved my own health but also opened the door to new coaching opportunities for the clients I work with.

Today, I coach women to be fit and flexible under my program, Variety Movement. I’m passionate about helping people move with intention, connect with their bodies, feel confident, look strong, and perform at their best.

It’s an honor to expand my reach here at Savage Citizen, and I’m so excited to meet you.
